New Clark County Educators Organization Launches

Las Vegas – Today the Professional Association of Clark County Educators (PACCE) launches as the county’s first non-union, non-partisan, professional educators association. PACCE provides a formal network for educators who seek to make a difference in the quality of education in the county. The group is the newest chapter of the Association of American Educators (AAE), the largest national non-union educators association.

“PACCE was founded to give teachers who share our vision of education in the county a voice so that we can make a difference,” said Cindy Allen, PACCE chairman. “We want to help improve our profession by emphasizing professionalism as an organization.”

Part of a coalition of 300,000 educators, PACCE is devoted to working collaboratively with all stakeholders in education – parents, students, teachers, administrators, and the community – to build support for educational improvement and innovations in order to advance and improve the educational system.

Created of, for and by local teachers, PACCE starts with over 200 members. PACCE seeks to strengthen professionalism in education by offering:

“The professional educator is looking for opportunities to learn and grow in their careers,” said Gary Beckner, AAE executive director. “PACCE will help educators become the best that they can be to help Clark County become a better place for teachers to teach and for students to learn.”

Anyone who works for an education entity – both certified and classified staff –are welcome to join. Substitute teachers are also encouraged to become members.

Dedicated to the academic and personal growth of every student, PACCE is Nevada’s premier professional teachers association that advances the profession through professional development, teacher advocacy and protection, as well as promoting educational excellence, so that educators receive the respect, recognition and reward they deserve. PACCE membership is only $180 a year and is open to all employees of education institutions. Learn more about PACCE at www.clarkcountyeducators.org.
